The idea of an Application Processing Interface (API) is to let computers comunicate through the internet in a fast and reliable way. To ensure secure authentication each command BitBotster sends to your broker is encrypted. As we remotecontrol your broker account on your behalf, authentication is essential. Your broker is providing a permanent API-Key and API-Secret that allows BitBotster to take trades.
That is unfortunately not in our hands. Make sure you are signed in to the Demo or Testnet section of your broker and search for "Fund my Account" or "Faucet" buttons. Sometimes it helps to ask their custommers support chat-bot.
We are not tracking your broker account balance around the clock. Only when potential trades are near or come into play.
Another reason could be that your funds are still in your broker Spot or Funding account. Transfer them into your Futures account or UTA.
BitBotsters strategies are designed to work with leveraged Future-contracts. You are not trading the actual asset, but a derivative based on the asset price. Your funds are used as a collateral only.
Future markets often lead the price development. BitBotsters strategies give you an edge because we Long and Short the market. Even with falling prices, a bot can make money.
Long story short: No.
We are working very successful on strategies that require Longing and Shorting possibilities. BitBotster will support Spot trading at some point, but that phrase is not coming with a fixed date.
